Understanding User Permissions

Use this guide to help you identify which permissions to designate for your individual Firm Members. Only individuals with the Firm Administrator permission can designate permissions for all users in your firm. Any individual Firm Member can have multiple permissions.

USER GROUPS

Firm Administrator (FA): individuals responsible for the firm structure and customization with Client Feedback Tool. These individuals can add and manage users, set up firm branding(s) and default settings, and manage the firms survey templates.

Firm Manager (FM): individuals with permission to view all surveys sent, all responses captured, and have the ability to follow-up to all survey responses in Client Feedback Tool.

Disabled Members: firm members who no longer have access to Client Feedback Tool. They are not able to log in or send surveys, and do not receive any alerts or reports.  *Note that their data history of survey sends and responses are still visible to other members of the firm (according to permissions granted).

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Project Manager: users who are assigned as a Project Manager to any specific Project have access to all surveys sent and responses captured, as well as receive alert notifications (based on preferences) for surveys sent for the designated project; regardless of the sender of record.

Project Group Manager: users who are assigned to Project Group have access to surveys sent and responses captured, as well as receive alert notifications (based on preferences) for all projects that are listed within the designated Project Group.

Client Account Manager: users who are assigned as a Client Account Manager to a specific Client Company have access to surveys sent and responses captured, as well as receive alert notifications (based on preferences) for all surveys sent to a Client Contact associated with that Client Company.

USER PERMISSION SETTINGS

Send Survey: Typically, all users. This permission allows the user to Send Surveys that they are directly responsible for. They can also modify the survey and will receive email notifications and see the responses for their surveys sent.

Send on Behalf: This group often includes Firm Administrators and other who have been designated as needing to send a survey on behalf of another team member. The sender of record is the one who can modify the survey, the one who will receive the email notifications and the individual who can see the responses.

Reply on Behalf: These users have the permission to Reply on Behalf of a client and can thereby enter responses to a survey as if those answers came directly from the client. This might be necessary for a client who either doesn't have access to email or prefers to give details over the phone; while still allowing you to capture their data in Client Feedback tool.

Send Vendor Surveys: This permission allows the user to Send Vendor Surveys that they are directly responsible for.  They can also modify the survey and will receive email notifications and see the responses for their surveys sent.

View Vendor Results: This permission allows the user to View Vendor Survey results.  If designated, visibility into data is dependent upon Project Management Permissions above.

Send Company Employee Surveys: This permission allows the user to Send Employee Surveys that they are directly responsible for.  They can also modify the survey and will receive email notifications and see the responses for their surveys sent.

View Company Employee Survey Results: This permission allows the user to view Employee Survey results.  If designated, visibility into data is dependent upon Project Management Permissions above.

Access Data API: This permission allows the user to access data via the API. Data accessed is dependent upon user permissions.

Social Network Sharing: This permission allows the user to Tweet out responses gathered. When this permission is designated, the user will see the Twitter bird icon available next to each comment.
